Shafts
A shaft is a rotating machine element, usually circular in cross section, which is used to transmit power from one part to another, or from a machine which produces power to a machine which absorbs power. Shafts are extended rod-shaped equipment which provides linear motion for power transfer application domains. Most of these shafts are made of alloy steel, aluminum, stainless steel, carbon steel, plastics, or composite materials. Alloy steel is more robust and more durable than carbon steel. Stainless steel is so well for applications where corrosion rate is critical.
